SPECIAL MOMENTS!!!

As the holidays draw to an end I look back at the many moments like these and they make my heart sing!!!!

Two of my girls just hanging together and enjoying being together.
This is Phoenix and Lavender cuddling up watching "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
Lavender has been wonderful with Phoenix these school holidays. From helping her to play her DS games to being costume helper for Phoenix's many concerts, Lavender has been there for her, and happy to do so.

PLAY DATE!

Today had her two friends over to our house for a play date. The girls had a great time and were disappointed when it was up.

Maddii and Lavender spent most of the day relaxing and getting ready for school, covering books.

The afternoon saw us attend a brilliant concert in our shed, Phoenix performed 3 dances and sang her own made up song.

Started working with some papers that Leonie gave me to teach a class, having fun and enjoying letting my creative side play.

UFO!!!!!

Lavender and her friend, Rachel entered the sand modelling competition  at Tunarama this year. They threw around lots of ideas and decided to create a starfish. I dropped them off at the foreshore at 9am. When I went back at 10.30, the competition finished at 11am, the starfish idea had gone out the window.
They saw that everyone around them was doing things from the sea so they went for a UFO.
They didn't win but got free donuts for competing so they were happy.

FIREWORKS!!!!

This afternoon we went down to the foreshore to watch the final of Lincoln's Got Talent. It was a great afternoon, some really talented people. After that we stay to watch the fireworks. They were great!!!!

THE BIG PARADE!!!!!

Today was extremely busy. Got organised and then off to the TUNARAMA parade. Ronald was over again. A bit of a sore point in our house as Phoenix is terrified of him. This years parade was the best by far, everyone really seemed to put the extra effort in to celebrate 50 years.
Tonight we went off to the Cotton, Keays and Morris concert at the race course. Unreal concert by it was cold by the end of the night. Leonie, Phil, Brooklyn, Lavender, Phoenix, Tony, Hayleigh(Lavender's friend), Kylie, David, Michelle, Gordon and me all had a great time. It was really nice to all get together.
Sorry no photos as the computer is telling me I need to purchase more space for my blogger. I'll have to look into tomorrow.

A NEW FIRST!!!!

Phoenix had her first play date at a friends house. She has been so excited since she found out she was going. From the moment she got up this morning it was "hurry up mum", "can we go now mum".
Needless to say she had a ball. Her friends are going to come over here for a play date early next week. I guess its going to be a long weekend with her constantly "how many days till my friends come over".
Tonight was our regular pizza night. Every Friday night Tony and Phoenix cook pizzas from scratch for the family.
YUMMY!!!!

After last nights play at Scrapworkz, my creative juices were flowing. I decided to have a go at making a new type of flower I've been eyeing off for the last few days.

For a first attempt, with the wrong type of material, I was really happy with how it turned out. Sorry about the bad photos but the battery was running out so I didn't want to be too picky.
