DO YOU KNOW BOOK!!!

This is a book Ive been creating during my Mouse, Paper, Scissors class over at Jessica Sprague. It is made using hybrid techniques and I just love it. Ive had a ball doing this class and will definitely adding some hybrid stuff to my scrap pages.
P.S excuse the bad photos but I really wanted to share.
The cover. A bazzill plastic sheet.
Each page differs in size. The first page is a coin envelope and a 4 x 6 envelope.
The next page is a vellum envelope with a card inside.
The next page.
A great page to add a photo.
Another different envelope with....
this card inside.
The last envelope with....
This cute card inside.
The back page/cover.
This 7 page book actually uses 5 envelopes as pages. Each one has a different type of card inside which gives you the ability to add lots of photos.I added lots of my own embellishments to this book.
Now I just have to find someone to give it to!!!!

CATCH UP!!!!

Just thought I would catch up with whats been happening around here.
Yesterday was spent, cleaning, attending dancing and Kindy. Picked up Phoenix and Lavender after school and came home and cooked dinner. Phoenix made my day, she made me this beautiful necklace at kindy.

I spent the rest of the day proudly wearing it.

Tony and Maddii are away for the weekend in Newcastle at our best friends daughters 18th birthday party, Maddii's best friend in the world, so Lavender , Phoenix and I have decided to have a crafty, girls weekend. We started on Friday night with Phoenix doing some painting, Lavender doing the presentation stuff for an assignment due next week and me working on sorting my ribbons and my home made ribbon bag. Here is Phoenix's painting.

SATURDAY 20TH MARCH 2011.
Our crafty weekend continued today. Lavender spent the whole day continuing on with her assignment work.
In the morning Phoenix and I made choc chip cookies for a special occasion we were celebrating this afternoon.

After lunch I tried to get a bit of scrapping time whilst Phoenix made a birthday crown.

In the afternoon we celebrated Itty Bitty's birthday, Phoenix's bear, with a picnic on the floor. Phoenix set up the rug and organised the fancy dress outfits and activities.

Happy 5th Birthday Itty Bitty!!!
After our drinks and cookies, we coloured, did jigsaw puzzles and had a photo shoot.
I think Im rubbing off on her!!!! LOL
After that we settled down for some cuddle time and some popcorn.

All day I tried to get some time to work on a book Im doing for the Mouse, Paper, Scissors class Im taking online. I highly recommend this course, Ive had a ball. I havent quite finished it, still a couple of finishing details to add. I will show you tomorrow.

MIA!!!

I have to start by saying that I have been really busy lately preparing for my class at Scrapworkz and have been thinking that no one is really reading my blog so why do it every day.
On Monday, my best friend from Newcastle, the reason I started the blog, rang me to say that in the last 2 weeks she has been looking at it everyday and was wondering what had happened since I wasnt posting.
On Tuesday night at my class, a very special person, Kathryn, actually came up to me and said that she often looks at my blog and like what i am doing, such a lovely thing to say.
To cut a long story short, it made me realise that there maybe people looking even though they dont comment. So Im back!!!! Thanks Kathryn and Jenny.

Tuesday night was amazing for me, I loved, loved, loved it. It has been 4 year since I taught my last class and have really missed it. It is one thing that I just love to do.Thanks for pushing me to jump back in again Leonie.
The class went so well, we had a full class with 24 ladies all turning up early and ready to start at 7pm.  When I teach a class, I prefer to pick a tool or technique and show people how it can be used in a number of ways. We all want our scrap stash to be versatile, don't we!
Tuesdays class focused on alcohol inks, I showed the ladies 5 ways to use it. It was a pretty full on class, with lots to do, but everyone did really well.
The class page!!!
As usual I had to feed my obsession and use my leftovers to create some more pages. I can't handle it when my scrap hang around. This is what I did with my scraps.....

All the ladies that attended also got the instructions for these pages as well.

I have to say a big THANKYOU to all the wonderful ladies that attended, you did so well!!!! The wonderful comments and compliments you gave me and Leonie are much appreciated and made me feel like you enjoyed the class as much as I did. I can't wait to do another one.

To anyone that stops by, thanks, if you would like to leave a comment I would really appreciate it.

BUSY!!!

I was so busy yesterday that I forgot to post on my blog, bummer!!! I did take some photos though.
Maddii had her sports carnival so I had my kids plus and extra 6, yes 6, girls here from 7am. The girls all got dressed up and I dropped them off at the carnival.
These are the green girls!! They even painted their dresses in army camo pattern.
Did the usual running around for the morning and then picked up Phoenix from Kindy at lunch time. After a bit of a rest we made cupcakes, I had promised her that we would since Tuesday. I don't know if its the cupcakes that she loves or just licking the spoon!!!
Her 2nd spoon!!!
We picked up Lavender from school , did some food shopping and then raced home to change and start the back and forth runs to dancing.
At 7pm I was grateful to be off the Scrapworkz for scrap night as it only the 2nd one Ive attended in the last 6 weeks.  Had a great time! Thanks girls!!!
Today along with the usual, I had my eyebrows done, went to pick up Maddii's new camera and brought a very special 18th birthday present. Whilst I was at the jewellers I saw this cute Pandora charm....
A wonderful witch!!!! I just had to spoil myself and get her.

PREP WORK IN PROGRESS!

Apart from the usual Monday cleaning and running around I spent some time preparing for a class Im teaching for Leonie at Scrapworkz.

Its been nearly 4 years since I last taught a class. Before I moved to Lincoln I use to teaching scrapbooking classes regularly and loved it. I really miss it, so when Leonie asked me to teach a class I was over the moon.
When I teach I like to look at techniques. I try to play with a tool or technique and show a number of ways to use it. The class I am teaching is to do with alcohol ink. Whilst completing the page below we learn 4 different ways to use the inks. Along with the instructions for this page, I will also include the instruction on how to use the scraps you have left over to complete some more pages. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have an obsession with using my scraps so they are not lying around.
The class is next Tuesday, 15th March at Scrapworkz.
Can't wait!!!!
Anyway hope you are all having a great Monday!

CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA!

We all got up nice and early today so we could go and help clean up Australia. Tony, Maddii, Lavender, Phoenix and I spent 2 hours picking up rubbish in the main street and front street of Port Lincoln.  Although it was a dirty job it was very rewarding. It was also nice to have a few other volunteers helping as well.

After cleaning we raced home as Phoenix had a party to attend.
Phoenix was really keen to stay at the party without me, so after a bit of begging I left her. She is such a big girl now.
Once I picked her up we came home and she put on a show for me. I usually take advantage of these moments by snapping some photos. I got lots of action shot but also managed these....

My little sweet heart!!!!
