SCORE!!!!!!

As anyone that knows me, or for that fact ever met me, knows that Im weird. I not a bird person, real type, they are just another thing that can attract mice as far as Im concerned, but I absolutely love bird things, crazy I know. I love birds and birdcages when it comes to decorating and scrapbooking. For the last couple of years I've been on the lookout for a silver bird decoration, I looked around but never found one, they are usually coloured or gold. Today I went to Kmart to get a flower cushion I saw in a magazine and as I was looking around I saw this beauty.....

I was so happy as he was just what I've been looking for, SCORE!!!!!! I've got him sitting in my entry way on a chest with lots of little draws, with a large white timber mirror, six ornate white frames of varying sizes, a large black vase and some lovely twinkling lights. He is perfect and only $10!!!! HAPPY!!! I also got the large glass candle stick holder, something I've also been looking for and cheap. It only cost me $6. 

Oh and by the way I got the flower pillow I was looking for, only $10. What a day!!! If only they could be like this.

I'm still on the look out for a few large ornate mirrors/frames in any colour or condition if anyone see's one or know anyone wanting to get rid of theirs.

Phoenix went to a friends birthday party today. She had a great time. They played games and had a ball catching bubbles.

A LOVELY GIFT!!!

Whilst I was doing the usual saturday morning jobs, Tony took Phoenix to the park. She so looks forward to this time as its just her and her "buddy". When the arrived home Phoenix announced that she had a surprise for me, as she came around the corner she had two of the most perfect dandelions I had ever seen.
Tony had noticed them whilst he was pushing her on the swings and suggested bringing them home. She even gave up the rest of her swing time as she didnt want them to fall apart. So sweet, both of them!!!! And the amazing part is that she took so much care in holding them, they were still perfect when they got home.
Had to get my camera out and play with my macro......

VERY EXCITED!!

Phoenix had her first day back at dancing today. For the last 3 months all I have heard is " is it dancing day mum"? Well today it was!!!! Thank God for that.

This year Phoenix has gone up a group. Now they have actually started to learn some basic ballet moves, she did really well. She was a bit shy, yes I said shy, as she did not know anyone in her class. For some reason her two best dance friends were not there today. That aside she tried really hard and was happy as her buddy, Daddy, came to watch her. We were so proud of her.

MORE CREATING!!!

Another busy day spent do the usual, housework and running around for the kids. I did make it a priority to finish a page I started yesterday for the color combos challenge blog. Here it is....

I had most of this page done last night, just had to do a few finishing touches today. Completed it at lunchtime and thought Ill download it later tonight. When that time came I realised that I had missed the deadline by 5 hours. BUMMER!!!!!

Oh well, live and learn.

A GREAT DAY!!!!

I have had a great day today!!! The family got some great news which we celebrated with take out for dinner. We have takeout maybe 2/3 times a year, so tonight we all voted and decided that KFC was in order.

What is it about KFC, you hang for it but once its finished you regret it???

This great news has meant that some of the stress we have had over the last few months is gone,  thank God . Maddii has been begging to go to her best friends, Casey, 18th birthday party in Newcastle,(the family we went to Coffs Harbour with). With the stress gone Tony has decided that he will take her. 

 

OMG!!!!!!This is a unsolicited hug, had to get a shot of that. We don't get many of these now-a-days. 

As you can tell she is over the moon.

FINALLY!!!

I finally received one of my Christmas presents today, the first copy of the O magazine came. Tony got me a subscription for Christmas. I have to say that I love the O magazine as well as Martha Stewart Living. They are such great mags and the photography is just amazing. Even everyday stuff looks so beautiful and interesting.

I also spent a bit of time getting ready for a new online course. I can't wait to start this one.....

ITS FINALLY DONE!!!!

Over the last three weekends we have slowly tackled Lavenders bedroom. Let me start by saying that while Lavender has many wonderful characteristics, cleanliness is not one of them. To put it straight, she is a little piggy and has a bad habit of NEVER putting anything away.
We have been spending about 4 hours every Saturday for the last 3 weeks addressing certain areas of her bedroom. When we started her cupboard could not open without things falling out, you could not see the floor, under her bed was full over baskets that were overflowing, her computer cupboard was full of crap and she had a folding table that was cover with stuff and had boxes and a drawer unit underneath. I forgot to take a photo before we started.
Now it looks like this.......

Everything is gone from under the bed, you can easily open the cupboard and nothing falls out, we got rid of the folding table and drawers and the computer cupboard now has her computer in it and not much else. Three quarters of the stuff is gone and the room looks great. Lets see how long it lasts.

PITTER,PATTER!!!!

Pitter, patter is all I heard all day. I can't remember the last time that it rained for the whole day without stopping. I love the rain, its smell, the sound, the rugging up you do, the justification to just stay home and especially watching it. When I was a child I would sit in the door way with the door opened and a rug around me and just watch it for hours. Here is a few shots I took today (not with my macro lens).

Today I finished the page I started on Wednesday. Its for the Color Room Challenge, Palette #45 (Her Room).

When the new Kindy opened last year, they took Phoenix aside and asked her to paint a canvas. Last week I noticed that they had hung it up as artwork in the foyer. Phoenix was so proud and smiles every time we walk past it. I asked if I could come and take a shot of it.
And now for the unveiling...........
