1 DOWN, 2 TO GO!!!

Thought I'd start by showing you a page I finally completed. It was for a challenge that was due in at the end of December. Needless to say I didnt finish it due to Christmas commitments. Its page of photos of the gingerbread house display at the Cummins Christmas Wonderland. Well here it is. Hope you like it.

Back to school for Maddii today. It was another scorcher so it was just a half day, better than nothing.
As you can see she was pissed that I wanted to take her photo. I had to chase her around the house to get it.

Tomorrow Lavender has her first day of high school at St Josephs, she is really excited. Phoenix is buzzing too, her first day back at Kindy and swimming lessons start again, she can't wait to show her swimming teacher that she can put her whole head under the water now without being scared.
Lavender got a lovely surprise today.

She won a great pair of swimmer worth over $100. She loves entering competitions. Well done Lou!!!
With all the heat today we had a little visitor, I think he was trying to cool down before he melted.

I'M MELTING, I'M MELTING!!!!!

Its been a scorcher here today, 44 degrees. Needless to say, Phoenix and I  spent the day inside under the air con. Maddii was off with friends, Lavender was at at friends house and Tony went fishing with Phil.
Phoenix has become addicted to Tattered Angels, she loves the bottles and keeps telling me that she is nearly old enough to use them. She spent ages playing with the bottles, getting me to mist papers and arranging the bottles in to cool displays. She even wanted me to take photos of her displays.
It rare for her to want me to take photos, so I took advantage of the moment and took photos that included her. After about 30 photos she turned to me, and in a frustrated voice said "Mum, for God sake". I cracked up, I don't know where she got this saying from but I knew straight away what it meant,  " Mum stop with the photos already".
We did lots of crafting and then settled down to an afternoon of her favourite videos, POKO. She just cracks up when she watches them. It is such a wonderful sound to hear her laugh uncontrollably.

Tony arrived home just after 5pm with his half of the catch.
Yummy fish for dinner!!!!

TANGLED!!!!!

Today was movie day. This morning Lavender, Phoenix, Leonie, Brooklyn, Blake and myself all went to see the Disney movie "Tangled". I had been promising Phoenix all holidays so we finally went. I have to say that it was brilliant, probably the best one I have seen in ages, apart from the Toy Story movies, of course.

Tonight, Leonie, Brooklyn, Maddii and myself went to see " Little Fockers". I loved the two previous movies and was really looking forward to it. It was a BIG let down. I wont be adding that one to my DVD collection.
In between movies I have been playing with scrap goodies, having a scrap day tomorrow can't wait!!!

A CRAZY DAY!!!

Today has been a crazy day with work, house keeping and final prep for school.
After dinner I went up stairs to see this site......
OMG!!!!!!
Has the world stopped or come to an end?
My 3 girls were in the same room doing something together!!!! I couldn't believe it. I had to take this photo as a lasting memory.
After that moment all of us girls went a little crazy, running around doing stupid things, and me with my camera trying to take photos. This is the usual shot I get of Maddii these days.....
Her hiding behind her door.
It was so nice to just have fun and be silly with my girls.

SPECIAL MOMENTS!!!

As the holidays draw to an end I look back at the many moments like these and they make my heart sing!!!!

Two of my girls just hanging together and enjoying being together.
This is Phoenix and Lavender cuddling up watching "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
Lavender has been wonderful with Phoenix these school holidays. From helping her to play her DS games to being costume helper for Phoenix's many concerts, Lavender has been there for her, and happy to do so.

PLAY DATE!

Today had her two friends over to our house for a play date. The girls had a great time and were disappointed when it was up.

Maddii and Lavender spent most of the day relaxing and getting ready for school, covering books.

The afternoon saw us attend a brilliant concert in our shed, Phoenix performed 3 dances and sang her own made up song.

Started working with some papers that Leonie gave me to teach a class, having fun and enjoying letting my creative side play.

UFO!!!!!

Lavender and her friend, Rachel entered the sand modelling competition  at Tunarama this year. They threw around lots of ideas and decided to create a starfish. I dropped them off at the foreshore at 9am. When I went back at 10.30, the competition finished at 11am, the starfish idea had gone out the window.
They saw that everyone around them was doing things from the sea so they went for a UFO.
They didn't win but got free donuts for competing so they were happy.

FIREWORKS!!!!

This afternoon we went down to the foreshore to watch the final of Lincoln's Got Talent. It was a great afternoon, some really talented people. After that we stay to watch the fireworks. They were great!!!!

THE BIG PARADE!!!!!

Today was extremely busy. Got organised and then off to the TUNARAMA parade. Ronald was over again. A bit of a sore point in our house as Phoenix is terrified of him. This years parade was the best by far, everyone really seemed to put the extra effort in to celebrate 50 years.
Tonight we went off to the Cotton, Keays and Morris concert at the race course. Unreal concert by it was cold by the end of the night. Leonie, Phil, Brooklyn, Lavender, Phoenix, Tony, Hayleigh(Lavender's friend), Kylie, David, Michelle, Gordon and me all had a great time. It was really nice to all get together.
Sorry no photos as the computer is telling me I need to purchase more space for my blogger. I'll have to look into tomorrow.

A NEW FIRST!!!!

Phoenix had her first play date at a friends house. She has been so excited since she found out she was going. From the moment she got up this morning it was "hurry up mum", "can we go now mum".
Needless to say she had a ball. Her friends are going to come over here for a play date early next week. I guess its going to be a long weekend with her constantly "how many days till my friends come over".
Tonight was our regular pizza night. Every Friday night Tony and Phoenix cook pizzas from scratch for the family.
YUMMY!!!!

After last nights play at Scrapworkz, my creative juices were flowing. I decided to have a go at making a new type of flower I've been eyeing off for the last few days.

For a first attempt, with the wrong type of material, I was really happy with how it turned out. Sorry about the bad photos but the battery was running out so I didn't want to be too picky.

STYLING IT UP!!!!

Today was a big day for Lavender. Lavender has been whining about her hair for ages and was tossing up as to whether to get her hair cut for school. After much deliberation about length and styles she asked me to make an appointment. Today at 10.15 was a big moment.

And this was the end result, a long bob that is longer at the front than the back. It looks so good lets just hope she looks after it as it really suits her.
